Meet Jojo Wickens | LEU Dean of Students & LE Educator

Have you ever met someone who absolutely lives nails? That's Jojo Wickens for you!

With over 20 years in the industry, Jojo's journey has taken her from bustling salons to running her own thriving studio and now to sharing her passion as a Light Elegance Educator and LEU Dean of Students.

Jojo's career is a testament to her dedication and talent. After building a loyal clientele (and constantly turning new ones away!), she expanded her business, even opening her own salon in 2017. But her love for the industry goes beyond just creating beautiful nails.

Eight years ago, Jojo discovered Light Elegance, a game-changer, after developing allergies to many gel and acrylic products. Recognizing the brand's innovative, allergen-friendly approach, she quickly became a Light Elegance devotee. Within a year, her passion for the products led her to become an Educator, inspiring countless nail techs and educators around the world.

In 2023, Jojo's adventurous spirit took her on a new venture. She joined forces with a fellow Light Elegance Educator to bring Light Elegance products to the UK!  On top of that, she became the LEU Dean of Students, empowering students to achieve their LEU Bachelor Degree.

Jojo's skills haven't gone unnoticed! Her trophy cabinet boasts top 3 placements in UK competitions and a whopping 3 Scratch Stars awards, including Gel Polish Stylist of the Year (2015) and Gel Tech of the Year (2017 & 2019).

Now, Jojo's focus is on nurturing the next generation of nail technicians and sharing her love for Light Elegance products. But when she's not inspiring students, you'll find her enjoying the simple things: relaxing in the Devon countryside with her partner Rhys and their adorable pug-miniature pinscher mix, Winnie. A self-proclaimed foodie, Jojo loves creating delicious plant-based meals (she even used to run a vegan and gluten-free cookie business – yum!).
